About Kate L. Roa 

Engaging with Kate Roa is akin to a surge of inspiration. She is widely recognized for her sharp, lateral, and analytical thinking, making her a valuable asset to any project.

Kate began her marketing career in 1985, driven by a desire to transform aspirational dreams into tangible success. Her professional journey started shortly after high school with a venture at a small ice cream parlor in downtown Denville, NJ.

Kate encountered an individual with a vision to convert the outdated parlor into a Tex-Mex café. Demonstrating her proactive approach, Kate initiated the renovation process within two months, and within one month, Tapas Cafe opened its doors. The establishment quickly gained popularity.

Over the next five years, Tapas Cafe expanded to three locations: Denville, NJ, Mt. Tabor, NJ, and Dover, NJ. As the Tex-Mex trend gained momentum, larger restaurant chains entered the market, prompting Kate to transition to new opportunities.

Kate subsequently entered the corporate sector, where she crafted investor relations materials for a technology firm. After a year, she leveraged her industry expertise to secure roles with public relations firms and as a government contractor. Notably, she received credit for developing and executing an award-winning strategic communication plan for a project management office in both NJ and DC.

Following the conclusion of her government contract, Kate began consulting for small technology companies, helping to revitalize stagnant projects. Her comprehensive skill set enabled her to script content, secure media coverage, and collaborate with local public relations firms to establish manufacturing plants. Her efforts resulted in the successful repositioning of static innovations through new contract awards.

Anticipating industry downturns, Kate adeptly pivoted to consulting roles in public relations, market research, and risk management firms. She meticulously analyzed each firm's product and service offerings, identified capability gaps, and significantly enhanced their sales pipelines. During a consulting project with Kantar Media, she facilitated $2.5M in new business within six months. Another project with Kantar led to a lucrative partnership with Booz Allen Hamilton.

Kate's ability to identify and capitalize on ideas' potential has been instrumental in her work with food and beverage entrepreneurs. She has helped secure approximately $1.2M in investor funding and small business loans. Her unwavering can-do attitude has propelled small business owners toward success since 2002.

In 2022, Kate expanded her expertise to assist solo entrepreneurs and small business owners in integrating AI and automation to accelerate business growth. This transition reflects her commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive efficiency and innovation in business operations.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Kate is passionate about helping seniors adopt user-friendly marketing software to stay intellectually and socially engaged. Since 2015, she has assisted 16 individuals in developing side businesses for additional income.

Residing in High Bridge, NJ, with her life partner Lou and their two dogs, Gil and Harry, Kate holds an MBA in Marketing, a BS in Management, and certifications in Culinary Arts and Government Contracts. Her extensive experience and strategic mindset continue to drive impactful results across various industries.
